IPIN2023 : Track4 "Foot-Mounted IMU (offsite-online)" competition

"OFFSITE-ONLINE TRACKS" will take place next week !

Track4 competition, based on Foot-mounted IMU , will happen on a unique day for all competitors. The date will be communicated very soon. 
In the mean while, it is very important to understand that you are strongly encouraged to use TestingTrial ! See IMPORTANT point below. 

Even if the deadline to register to IPIN Competition is over now (see [ https://evaal.aaloa.org/2023/call-for-competition | here ] ) ; we can analyse very late applications taken into account your expertise and skill on previous edition of IPIN competition using Evaal framwork. 

IMPORTANT : 
A limited number of teams has requested TestingTrial codes to Francesco POTORTI (in cc). Track4 chairs would like to remind to registered teams, that this is extremely important to be well prepared ! TestingTrials is clearly one key of success. It will help you to solve any network issues (VPN, proxy,...) and also to help you to correctly check your algorithms in quasi real context with Evaal API framework: 
- ground truth via POSI frame is available for TestingTrial 
- you are able to run TestingTrial as many time as you want. Which will NOT be the case for the two ScoringTrial (only playable once each) 

=> To get your TestingTrial codes, you just have to request them to Francesco POTORTI by email.

Dear competitors, 

It's a pleasure to announce that IPIN2023 - Track4 "Foot IMU mounted" is officially launched !! 

You will find in the attached PDF all information you may need to compete. 
This year, like previous ones, Ni ZHU and myself will be the chairs of Track4. 

As a reminder : objective of Track4 is to "build" the best trajectory as possible thanks to sensor data that has been recorded before by our OWN device [ https://geoloc.univ-gustave-eiffel.fr/en/hardware/geolocation-of-travelers | ULISS ] mounted on foot. 
This year like last year, there will be 2 ScoringTrials (in September - exact dates ToBeConfirmed). 

Important : we strongly advice you to "play" with the EvaalAPI a long time before the competition itself. Experience from previous editions has shown that well-prepared competitors achieve the best results. Do not underestimate the time needed to be ready ! 

You are welcome to send us emails if clarification is needed on any points. We will forward answers to all in order to be fair.
