The main solution of the UNIP team of Wuhan University is to estimate the location using RSRP ranging and uplink time of arrival (UL-TDoA) estimation method. Using RSRP data, a channel fading model is obtained based on the test data analysis, and the relationship between RSRP and distance is obtained by linearly fitting the collected data to achieve a rough position estimation by distance measurement of four base stations. When the RSRP signal is strong and stable, we can obtain more accurate indoor location information and correct ToA or TDoA timing alignment error (TAE) information, which is used to assist the TAE calculation. Secondly, with the existing four base stations, the ToA data are used to solve the UE location based on the TDoA method while estimating the TAE. Furthermore, Based on TDoA after TAE elimination, TDoA localization is performed again to reduce the localization error. Finally, using Kalman filter to optimize the localization result.
