Dear competitors,

we have updated the integration SW packages to a new version. The API HAS
NOT CHANGED.

Please download the following compiled packages:
Windows:
https://svn.aaloa.org/projects/evaal/Editions/Ed2013/LocationTrack/SocketServer.zip

Linux/Mac
https://svn.aaloa.org/projects/evaal/Editions/Ed2013/LocationTrack/SocketServer.tar.gz

Requirements:
Java Sun-Oracle al menos 1.5 (HIGHLY recommendable if it's Sun/Oracle)
  Internet connection

Use:

to run: bin/karaf
to stop: ctrl + d or write osgi:shutdown (don't worry about exceptions
thrown here)

In the first run it will download the needed packets from Internet, which
will take some time. You can check the progress writing "list" in the
terminal.
Once everything is downloaded next executions will be fast.

If new updates will be available you will have to delete the data/ folder
and this way you will force redownloading everything.

Once executed you will see:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

cluster=mw.modules.aalspace.osgi, physical address=192.168.1.187:56821

-------------------------------------------------------------------

cluster=mw.bus.service.osgi, physical address=192.168.1.187:42405
-------------------------------------------------------------------

You can also check that everything is working in the
data/log/uAAL-EvAAL.log file.

You can run the device simulation tool by writing:
features:install EvAAL.dummy.device

it will download new packages and will show you a window. You can have
several instances running at the same time in a computer or in a local
network (it is highly recommended to do some distributed test).

Last thing:

our system will automatically collect logs from the folder data/log. In
order to collect also your "internal" data you can tell your system to
generate the data in the same folder. This will make us save some time but
is not mandatory.
If you don't know what internal data I am talking about, please read the
call for competition where it says:

"Competitors are admitted to the competition and their paper is included
in the proceeding under the three following conditions:

3. provide organizers with the internal data produced by their systems
during the competition and the documentation describing the deployment of
their system, as requested by the organizers; the data will be published
on the EvAAL website."

I will also update the manual next week.

For any questions please contact me.

Best regards,

Dario Salvi
